of the sport of high school football, you'll never again wonder just exactly which school had the best grid
team in the Keystone State in 1909, 1927, 1958 or any other year for that matter! That's because our group of experts

And just who are we - your Board of Directors that is - we're die hard Keystone State schoolboy football fans, former
players, coaches, historians, news reporters and friends of the game who eat, sleep and drink the sport.
That's who we are!
With the above as a background, this fanatical group has taken on the task of compiling "The
List" - the most completely researched and well documented analysis of state football champions ever assembled for the
state of Pennsylvania. Using a broad based approach which relies on the statewide playoff system as existed from 1922 through
1940 (as well as the current scheme in place since 1988), the Directors are supplementing their work by incorporating
UPI and AP polls, Dr. Roger Saylor's point system, research into periodicals of the day, interviews with "those
who were there" and all other sources as are available including the seasoned opinions of each Director. Of
course, the Board is comprised of experts from around the state and by combining all of the foregoing, it will result
in as perfect a consensus as possible for each year's champion.
The Directors hope that
you, the fans, will enjoy the results of their work.
