Welcome -

This site is still relatively new as it dates back to mid-2008.  Its stated goal is to create the most definitive and authoritative compilation of Pennsylvania scholastic football state champions ("The List") for the  years from 1886 through to the most recently completed season (with that now being 2009 -- and congratulations to last year's Hershey winners: La Salle, Selinsgrove, Lancaster Catholic and Clairton).  And as to the the task of assembling The List, that is being undertaken by dedicated fans, sports historians, journalists, current and former coaches and players from all over the Keystone state.  By serving as a focal point for the aforementioned group, it is anticipated that this site will help celebrate and spotlight the many great Pennsylvania schoolboy grid teams that have entertained and delighted enthusiasts of the sport over the last one hundred and twenty-three years.

The List of nominees is available for your inspection - take a look.  We especially welcome your emails and suggestions as to teams that you feel should be considered for inclusion on The List.  There is a mechanism available to email us your suggestions on this site -- so take a look and send us the names of teams we may have missed.

Special Note:  This site resulted from some informal off-season "Board" discussions among some die-hard fans of scholastic football including (and these are there "screen" names folks so keep that in mind): Blitz, Stalker, Lift Heavy, Central 1, Sammy K, 71 Skins, Relayer, Airborne Slam, Speed & Jump, Hitman 66, CD Cardinal, D1 Transplant, Senates Hair, WC Burrs, Philly 215, HB Ridge and the self-elected Chairman of The Board himself -- PA2CAMoleskinner!

Beyond the above bunch of rascals and scalawags, a very special thanks is due our friends over at the PA Football News site - Tom and Rich. Some very kind words of encouragement for this project were provided while some terrific source material was also made available by them (especially Tom).  And because of Rich's technical expertise, a link to their site was put up in short order (with the traffic increase noticeable immediately).  Plus Steve at the Jimmy Chitwood site and George at the PA helmet project site linked us up as well.  We appreciate the links, fellows, and the grand support thrown our way.

You can email our site as indicated on the Contact Your Directors page with your suggestions for teams and champions from over the years.  We look forward to hearing from you.
